Thousands of people visit the Philippines every year and every year thousands of people want to go back. Wondering why? Let me tell you why. The Philippines is made up of about one hundred million people, seven-thousand Islands, and one hundred languages. But yet the Philippines is not known for its beautiful beaches or pretty views. Its known for their cheap cost of living, hospitality and friendliness. The Filipinos will make sure your stay will be memorable and fun.
Philippines might not be well known for their beaches but still it has pretty beaches. It has pretty white sand beaches and black sand beaches. Different islands in the Philippines has its unique pretty beaches or unique pretty views. I have actually gone to one of the popular white sand beaches in the Philippines called Boracay. Boracay has the prettiest white sand beach that draws thousands of tourists every year. This past year Boracay had to close its doors for 6 months from visitors because it had environmental issues.
Filipinos also loves to shop but they want the cheapest and classy things. In most cities in the Philippines they have what is called a night market. Night market is where a bunch of vendors line up on the side walk and they sell whatever you can think of. You can find anything from cheap souvenirs, cheap food, to fake name branded things like Gucci or Louis Vuitton. They make everything fit their needs even if its fake name brands. So, when you see a kid that lives on the side walk, check out their flipflops because its Gucci.
Street foods in the Philippines is probably the best thing I’ve ever had and it is the cheapest. See My mother decided to take the whole family to eat and there were about 18 of us and she paid about $23. This included rice, Filipinos love their rice and every single meal is serve with rice, even Breakfast. They might love their food but the Philippines has less obesity rate than America.
Well the Philippines might seem like a pretty place to you, the majority of people actually live under the poverty line. People in the Philippines could be living in a cardboard box and they still manage to smile and love life. The Philippine government does not have enough funds to help those people so the people find ways to make a living. The Philippines makes life look easy as most people go to work in the day and they party all night long. Filipinos live for cheap cost of living, yummy food, and Karaoke.
These are some of the fun events and qualities in the Philippines. Yes, I do believe that it is more fun in the Philippines and I would recommend you to visit with your friends and family. There are so many things to see and experience and you can learn a lot from the Filipino culture.
